The survey conducted by the Bank of Canada shows that over sixty percent of respondents plan to reduce their purchases of American goods.
How are Canadians responding to President Trump's tariff policy? A survey by the Bank of Canada shows that they are increasing resistance to American travel and products. For the first time in its history, the Bank of Canada asked people about their plans to travel to the United States in its consumer quarterly survey. About 55% of Canadians said they are avoiding or reducing their spending on vacations in the United States, while about one-third said they plan to increase domestic travel spending. The survey also shows that about 63% of respondents said they are reducing their purchases of American goods, which is higher than the around 55% in the first quarter.
