According to the news conference on the financial situation in the first half of 2025 in Guangdong Province held by the People's Bank of China Guangdong Branch, as of the end of June, a total of 3,341 transactions of Hong Kong and Macau residents purchasing properties in mainland China were processed in the jurisdiction of Guangdong Branch, generating cross-border revenue of 3.08 billion yuan. In terms of digital currency, the People's Bank of China Guangdong Branch is comprehensively promoting the widespread application of digital currency. As of the end of June, a total of 44.9 million digital RMB personal wallets have been opened in Guangdong Province, circulating 382 million transactions, totaling 157.6 billion yuan. There are 6.2 million merchants supporting digital RMB payments, and the major business indicators rank high in various pilot provinces and cities, especially the consumption transaction volume ranking first in the country.
