New York gold futures rose by about 1.6%, reclaiming the $3400 level, while the Philadelphia gold and silver index closed up 3.5%.

On Monday, the New York closing price of spot gold rose by 1.42%, to $3397.48 per ounce, with continuous volatile uptrend throughout the day and an overall trading range of $3345.07-3401.60. COMEX gold futures rose by 1.57%, to $3411.20 per ounce, with a trading range of $3351.00-3416.90, and continued to fluctuate narrowly at high levels after 10:00 PM Beijing time. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index closed up by 3.51%, at 211.93 points, and also continued to fluctuate narrowly at high levels after 10:00 PM. Spot silver rose by 1.94%, to $38.9163 per ounce, while COMEX silver futures rose by 1.99%, to $39.230 per ounce. COMEX copper futures rose by 0.62%, to $5.6390 per pound. Spot platinum rose by 1.46%, to $1450.20 per ounce, while spot palladium rose by 1.42%, to $1261.86 per ounce.
