Fujian initiates level IV flood control emergency response.

Affected by the peripheral circulation of Typhoon "Weipa", heavy to torrential rains and locally heavy rain appeared in many coastal areas of Fujian Province starting from July 20. According to relevant regulations, the Fujian Provincial Flood Control Command initiated a Level IV emergency response at 8:00 on July 21. According to meteorological departments' forecasts, heavy rainfall will continue in many parts of Fujian for the next 3 days. The Fujian Provincial Flood Control Command requires all regions and departments to closely monitor weather changes, rainfall trends, and impacts, timely initiate or adjust emergency responses, strengthen monitoring warnings and consultations, make careful arrangements, and implement prevention and response measures for secondary disasters such as heavy rain, flash floods, small and medium-sized river flooding, geological disasters, and urban waterlogging.
