Robot Soccer World Cup: China Wins Championship.
On July 20, 2025, the RoboCup Brazil Robot Football World Cup came to a close, with the adult group's Tsinghua University's Fire God team from China using domestically produced Accelerated Evolution T1 robots representing China winning the championship trophy. For the first time in 28 years since the start of RoboCup, a Chinese team won the gold in the humanoid group, making history in the competition. The runner-up team also came from China, the Mountain and Sea team from China Agricultural University. The RoboCup Robot Football World Cup began in 1997 and is currently the largest and most widely recognized robot competition in the world.
