Among the 1180 deaths, the majority of the deceased were over 65 years old. The northern regions of Spain, such as Galicia and La Rioja, were most severely affected by the high temperatures. According to the forecast from the Spanish National Meteorological Agency, Spain will face a new round of high temperatures starting on the 14th.
