India continues to impose anti-subsidy duties on continuous cast copper wire rods from Indonesia and four other countries.

According to information from the China Trade Remedies Information Network, on July 3, 2025, the Tax Department of the Indian Ministry of Finance issued Notice No. 06/2025-Customs, stating that it has accepted the recommendations for the sunset review final ruling on anti-subsidy measures against continuous cast copper wire rods originating from or imported from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, as proposed by the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry on April 4, 2025, and July 2, 2025, and has decided to continue imposing anti-subsidy duties on the products involved from the aforementioned countries for a period of 5 years.
