Xinjiang summer grain yield increase ranks first in the country.
According to the announcement of the 2025 summer grain production data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the per unit output of summer grains in Xinjiang reached 411.5 kilograms per mu, an increase of 11.1 kilograms per mu compared to the previous year, marking the third consecutive year of an increase of more than 10 kilograms per mu. This figure is 35.9 kilograms per mu higher than the national average per unit output of summer grains, making it the highest increase in the country. Due to the late maturity of spring wheat in some areas of Xinjiang, the predicted production is expected to reach 6.84 million tons.
