Survey: Japan's economy is expected to grow by 0.3% in the second quarter of 2025, previously estimated to grow by 0.2%.
According to the latest survey results from 56 economists by Bloomberg from July 4th to 10th, Japan's economy is expected to grow by 0.3% in the second quarter. In the third quarter of 2025, GDP is expected to grow by 0.4% quarter-on-quarter seasonally adjusted annual rate, compared to the previous estimate of 0.4%. In the fourth quarter of 2025, GDP is expected to grow by 0.6% quarter-on-quarter seasonally adjusted annual rate, compared to the previous estimate of 0.6%. GDP in 2025 is expected to grow by 0.8% year-on-year, unchanged from the previous estimate. GDP in 2026 is expected to grow by 0.7% year-on-year, unchanged from the previous estimate. In the second quarter of 2025, CPI is expected to rise by 3.4% year-on-year, unchanged from the previous estimate.
