On Thursday, the Baltic Exchange's dry bulk sea freight index rose, as freight rates for all vessel categories increased. The Baltic Dry Index rose by 42 points to 1465 points, a 3% increase. The Capesize index rose by 10 points or approximately 0.6% to 1664 points, ending a 17-day consecutive decline. Capesize vessels saw a daily profit increase of $84 to $13,799. The Panamax index rose by 102 points or 6.3% to 1723 points, reaching its highest level since July 31st of last year. Panamax vessels saw a daily profit increase of $917 to $15,507. The Supramax index rose by 31 points or 2.7% to 1182 points.
