Nvidia (NVDA.O) supported Perplexity AI announced on Wednesday that the company has launched a new browser called Comet with artificial intelligence search capabilities, hoping to challenge market leader Google's (GOOG.O) dominant position. This marks Perplexity AI's entry into the competitive browser market with the aim of replacing traditional internet browsing methods with intelligent agents AI that can represent user thinking, actions, and decisions. It was reported on the same day that OpenAI also intends to launch an artificial intelligence web browser. Data from StatCounter shows that in June of this year, Chrome held a 68% share of the global browser market, consolidating its position as the world's most widely used browser.
