The Congolese government held talks with the "M23 Movement" in Doha.

On July 9th, local time, according to a diplomatic official, the government of the Congo and representatives of the anti-government armed group "M23 Movement" held talks in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on the issue in the eastern region of the Congo, with the aim of reaching a more comprehensive ceasefire agreement. Representatives from both sides have been holding multiple rounds of talks in Doha since March of this year. The government of the Congo issued a statement on April 23rd, stating that after dialogue between the government of the Congo and the "M23 Movement" in Doha, both sides have reached a consensus on promoting ceasefire and peace processes.
