The General Administration of Market Supervision and other departments jointly issued the first batch of national product carbon footprint label certification pilot catalog.
The State Administration for Market Regulation, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued a notice, specifying the first batch of national product carbon footprint labeling certification pilot certification catalog, including 17 products such as lithium-ion batteries, photovoltaic modules, steel products, textile products, room air conditioners, computers, small power motors, tires, electrolytic aluminum, cement, artificial boards, and wooden floors. The release of the catalog marks a key step towards the implementation of China's product carbon labeling certification system from policy framework to practice. By focusing on specific products, and with the support of upcoming product-specific certification implementation rules, a product carbon footprint labeling certification scheme covering the entire lifecycle will be established, providing enterprises and certification bodies with a set of operational, applicable, and verifiable certification implementation guidelines.
