In June, a total of 18.49 million reports of online illegal and harmful information were accepted nationwide.

In June 2025, the Cyberspace Administration of China guided the national internet reporting departments and major website platforms to accept reports from internet users on illegal and harmful information such as pornography, gambling, infringement, and rumors, totaling 18.496 million cases. This was an increase of 1.1% from the previous month but a decrease of 7.2% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the Cyberspace Administration of China's reporting center accepted 398,000 reports, a decrease of 9.5% from the previous month and a decrease of 15.1% from the same period last year; local internet reporting departments accepted 637,000 reports, an increase of 6.6% from the previous month but a decrease of 50% from the same period last year; and major website platforms nationwide accepted 17.461 million reports, an increase of 1.2% from the previous month but a decrease of 4% from the same period last year. Among the reports accepted by the major website platforms nationwide, major commercial website platforms accounted for 15.858 million cases, or 90.8%.
