According to Suzhou Daily, on July 8, the Standing Committee of Suzhou Municipal Committee held a meeting, chaired by Secretary Liu Xiaotao. The meeting pointed out the importance of understanding the significance of building a unified national market, accurately grasping the basic requirements of "five unifications and one openness", guiding enterprises to improve product quality, standardizing government procurement and bidding, regulating investment attraction, strictly preventing "zero-sum" investment, and vigorously promoting the integrated development of domestic and foreign trade. The meeting also emphasized the need to continue carrying out specialized law enforcement actions involving enterprises, improve the assessment system for high-quality development and the evaluation system for cadre performance, focus on removing barriers and obstacles in market access, factor allocation, etc., maintain a fair market competition order, and actively serve and integrate into the construction of a unified national market. There is also a focus on strengthening strategic marine science and technology capabilities, expanding and strengthening industries near the port, vigorously developing the marine service industry, and promoting high-quality development of the marine economy.
