Wenzhou has been successfully selected as a pilot city for the modern commercial distribution system.

Recently, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce announced the results of the selection of pilot cities for the modern commercial circulation system in 2025. A total of 20 cities in the country were selected, and Wenzhou, Zhejiang successfully made the cut, having received a central subsidy of 200 million yuan. The pilot focuses on boosting consumption and other key tasks, encouraging innovative expansion of work initiatives in pilot cities, accelerating the application of new technologies, cultivating new formats, and laying out new facilities, in order to better leverage the traction role of commercial circulation pilot work in boosting consumption.
