Xia Fengjian has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Public Security of the province.

Recently, the updated information on the Shandong Provincial Government website shows that Xia Fengjian currently serves as the Deputy Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Committee of Political and Legal Affairs and the Party Secretary of the Provincial Public Security Department. Prior to this, Xia Fengjian served as the Secretary of the Ya'an Municipal Committee in Sichuan Province.
