Zhejiang Wenzhou initiates level I emergency response to prevent typhoons on water.

At 5:00 pm this afternoon, the center of Typhoon Danas, the fourth typhoon of this year, was located about 160 kilometers to the east-northeast of the intersection of Zhejiang and Fujian provinces. It is expected to move in a west-southwest direction at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour, and is forecasted to make landfall again along the coast of Wenzhou, Zhejiang to Ningde, Fujian overnight to early tomorrow morning. At 7:00 pm tonight, the emergency response level for typhoon prevention in Wenzhou, Zhejiang was raised to Level I. All production operations in Wenzhou port have been suspended, all sea passenger routes are halted, and all water-related projects are stopped. Relevant ships have all moved to safe waters to take shelter from the storm. The maritime department has coordinated with 22 emergency tugboats to carry out emergency preparations in key water areas of Wenzhou. Every four hours, inspections are conducted on anchored ships to ensure typhoon prevention measures are in place. Ships are reminded to strengthen their watchkeeping, reinforce their mooring lines and anchor chains, and report any emergencies promptly.
