When coming to work or study in a big city, renting a house is often the most troublesome issue, as a slight oversight can lead to falling into a "trap". Disputes caused by "sub-landlords" are also a high-risk area. Recently, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, together with the municipal Market Supervision Bureau and other relevant departments, drafted and published the "Notice on Regulating the Activities of Individuals Engaging in Housing Subletting", aiming to propose clear regulations for the professional group of individual "sub-landlords".
