Li Hongwei, former deputy minister of the Organization Department of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and former director of the Municipal Civil Servant Bureau, has been expelled from the party and dismissed from public office.

On July 5th, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the National Supervisory Commission reported that according to the Tianjin Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Li Hongwei, former Deputy Minister of the Organization Department of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and former director of the Municipal Civil Service Bureau, is under investigation for serious violations of discipline and law with the approval of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.
