The output of industrial steel in our country has significantly increased, and steel exports have grown substantially.

The latest data from the China Iron and Steel Industry Association shows that in the first five months of this year, key statistics for steel enterprises accumulated production of crude steel reaching 355 million tons, a decrease of 0.1% year-on-year. The production of pig iron reached 314 million tons, an increase of 0.3% year-on-year. The production of steel reached 352 million tons, an increase of 2.1% year-on-year. At the same time, steel exports saw a significant increase, with net exports of crude steel exceeding 50 million tons in the first five months of this year, an increase of 8.79 million tons compared to the same period last year. Overall, the steel industry is running steadily and showing signs of improvement.
