A nationwide power outage in the Czech Republic caused a temporary social paralysis.
On July 4th, local time, most parts of the Czech Republic experienced a power outage, and fire departments were called to rescue people stranded in elevators in multiple locations. In the capital city of Prague, both tram and subway services were temporarily suspended. Currently, the power supply in affected areas is gradually being restored, with all transmission system substations back in operation. The subway line has partially resumed after repairs. The cause of the incident is still unclear. The police stated that there is no evidence to suggest that the power outage is related to a cyberattack or terrorism.
