On the afternoon of July 4th local time, Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council met with Greek Deputy Prime Minister Hatzidakis on the island of Rhodes in Greece. Li Keqiang pointed out that China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Greece, better leverage complementary advantages, promote the high-quality implementation of the Master Plan for the Port of Piraeus, promote more balanced development in bilateral trade, strengthen cooperation in clean energy, power transmission and transformation, artificial intelligence, and other fields, and nurture more economic growth points. China supports and encourages more Chinese companies with strength to actively promote investment in Greece based on market principles. The two sides should enhance mutual learning between civilizations, closely cooperate in tourism and other cultural exchanges, and enhance the friendship between the two peoples. China and Europe have extensive common interests. Currently, unilateralism and protectionism are escalating globally, China and Europe should jointly promote a positive voice advocating multilateralism and free trade, and work together to uphold economic globalization and the international economic and trade order. It is hoped that Greece will continue to play a constructive role in promoting the development of China-Europe relations.
