According to data from Counterpoint Research, iPhone sales in China increased by 8% year-on-year in the second quarter of this year, marking Apple's first growth in the Chinese market since the second quarter of 2023. The sales of Apple have improved mainly due to discounts and promotions on its latest iPhone 16 offered by Chinese e-commerce platforms, as well as increased prices for trade-ins of some older iPhones, which have been well received by consumers, especially in the week leading up to the 618 shopping festival. Counterpoint reported that Huawei's sales in the second quarter increased by 12% year-on-year, making it the largest smartphone manufacturer in terms of market share in China, followed by Vivo, with Apple ranking third.
