The People's Liberation Army Southern Theater Command organized combat readiness patrols in and around the waters and airspace of Huangyan Island.

On July 3, the Southern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army organized sea and air forces to carry out combat readiness patrols in the territorial waters and airspace of China's Huangyan Island and surrounding areas. Since June, the theater command has continuously strengthened sea and air patrols and vigilance in the waters and airspace around China's Huangyan Island, further enhancing control over relevant sea and airspace, resolutely defending national sovereignty and security, and firmly maintaining peace and stability in the South China Sea region.
