According to a report released by the Colombian National Risk Management Department on July 1st local time, continuous heavy rain has affected 168,000 families in the country, with some bridges and roads suffering structural damage. The report stated that 754 cities in 31 out of Colombia's 32 provinces were impacted by heavy rain, with the provinces of Huila, Cundinamarca, Antioquia, Tolima, and Caldas facing severe disasters. In addition, a massive landslide occurred on June 24th in the border area between the cities of Medellin and Bello in the northwestern province of Antioquia, resulting in 25 deaths. Several provinces and cities in Colombia have issued flood and landslide alerts.
