The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) condemns the United States for intensifying sanctions against Cuba.

On July 1st local time, the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) issued a statement strongly condemning the United States' intensified sanctions and economic blockade against Cuba. The statement said that the US sanctions aim to seriously damage various sectors of Cuban society, exacerbating the blockade on Cuba's tourism, health, immigration processes, culture, academic and scientific exchanges, technology acquisition, and even regime change. The statement also said that the US government's sanctions on Cuba aim to bring about severe shortages of essential goods, causing the most profound suffering for the Cuban people and undermining stability in Cuba.
