Hong Kong Traditional Chinese Medicine Regulatory Committee: Transitional registration system for Chinese patent medicine will end on June 30th.

According to the Wisdom Financial APP, the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Council announced today (June 24) that the approval work for the transition registration of Chinese patent medicines to formal registration has been completed. The transitional registration system for Chinese patent medicines will officially end on June 30, at which time all Chinese patent medicines sold in Hong Kong must have valid formal registration, marking a new stage in the regulation of Chinese medicine in Hong Kong. During the implementation of the transitional registration arrangement, the Chinese medicine group has received a total of 14,172 HKP applications, approved and issued a total of 9,150 HKP, of which 6,174 have successfully obtained HKC. The remaining 2,976 cases did not receive HKC for reasons such as the applicant failing to submit the required documents, withdrawing the application themselves, or having their HKP qualifications revoked.
