Recently, a whistleblower informed reporters that Qin, an employee of the original Qinghai Salt Lake industrial Co., Ltd., and his associate Zhao, are suspected of undertaking the engineering project of Salt Lake shares, involving complex issues such as state-owned enterprise employees using their connections improperly for subcontracting and benefit transfer. Public records show that Salt Lake shares is located in Golmud City, Qinghai Province, and is the largest potassium fertilizer industrial production base in China, as well as a core enterprise of China Minmetals Corporation and a listed company. The company is a state-owned enterprise controlled by central enterprises. On June 24, 2025, in response to the report, the disciplinary department of Salt Lake shares stated that they had previously been monitoring Qin's actions and are currently conducting an investigation.
