The flood prevention emergency response in the urban area of Congjiang County, Guizhou Province has been upgraded to Level I.
Today, according to the water inflow from the upper reaches of the Doului River and the current rainfall situation in Dongjiang County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, combined with the flood warning issued in Alert 2025 issue 51 and the inflow at the Wenzhai Navigation Station, it is estimated that the flood peak will pass through around 5:00 pm on June 24th. The county seat will reach a peak water level of 192.5 meters, exceeding the danger level by 3 meters. After consultation and assessment, the Flood Control and Drought Relief Command of the People's Government of Dongjiang County has decided to upgrade the urban flood prevention emergency response level from Level II to Level I at 10:40 am on June 24th, 2025. At the same time, the local authorities have notified residents in houses near the river and low-lying areas to evacuate and move to safer locations.
