Zhu Min talks about the impact of AI on employment: the structure of employment will undergo fundamental changes, rather than just the number of people employed.
On June 24th, at the 16th Summer Davos Forum, Zhu Min, former Deputy Managing Director of the IMF and senior expert member of the China International Economic Exchange Center, said that when discussing whether artificial intelligence will replace jobs, he mentioned that the future structure of employment will change, and all simple repetitive labor will be replaced. "The entire employment structure will undergo fundamental changes, rather than just changes in the number of people employed." Zhu Min believes that from agriculture, to industry, to the current digital economic era, employment is constantly evolving. China's service industry and the development of technology and artificial intelligence still have a lot of potential, and future employment will be in these emerging fields.
