On June 20, 2025, Meta and the globally renowned sports brand Oakley under the French EssilorLuxottica officially announced the joint launch of a new series of AR glasses (without display) Oakley Meta HSTN. Afterwards, Meta may launch AR glasses with single-eye display in the second half of 2025. In addition, manufacturers are also releasing new products. Currently, the solution for optical power in smart glasses is mainly based on users choosing their own lenses, with manufacturers also selling them as extras, using ordinary optical lenses. As some North American smart glasses manufacturers are actively exploring integrated lens solutions for AR glasses (combining smart display functions with optical power), CITIC Securities believes that it is important to closely monitor lens suppliers with strong manufacturing and R&D capabilities.
