The new government of Romania is sworn in.
On June 23 local time, the new government led by Romanian Prime Minister Borjan passed a vote of confidence in parliament, followed by Romanian President Darn signing the appointment decree, and the new government members taking office in the presidential palace. The Romanian Parliament voted 301 in favor and 9 against for the new government. The new government consists of 20 people, including Prime Minister Borjan and five deputy prime ministers. After the parliamentary vote, Borjan stated that the new government will focus on reducing the budget deficit, restoring budget balance, conducting deep administrative and state-owned enterprise reforms, providing fair and high-quality public services to citizens, and putting Romania back on the path of development and prosperity.
