Once in 30 years, the flood prevention emergency response in Rongjiang County, Guizhou Province has been upgraded to level II.

According to the flood control and drought relief headquarters of Rongjiang County People's Government, it was learned that, according to the latest water situation forecast, around 2:40 am today, a large flood with a peak flow of up to 5100 cubic meters per second will enter Xinghua Township, Rongjiang County. The flood control situation is extremely serious. Currently, the water levels of Pingyong River, Zhaihao River, and Duliujiang River in the county are rising rapidly. According to the forecast, they have all exceeded the flood level of once in 30 years, and the flood control pressure is enormous. In order to effectively carry out the work of preventing and responding to this heavy rainfall and flood peak, in accordance with the "Emergency Plan for Flood Control and Drought Relief in Rongjiang County", the emergency, meteorological, water, natural resources, and hydrological departments of the county have urgently consulted and judged. The flood control and drought relief headquarters of Rongjiang County People's Government has decided to upgrade the current level III emergency response to level II emergency response starting at 1:30 am on June 24, 2025. In order to ensure the safety of people's lives and property, Rongjiang County has issued an emergency evacuation order instructing all residents in the threatened areas to quickly and orderly evacuate to relocation sites or other higher ground safe areas.
