On Monday (June 23), the New York spot gold closing price was roughly flat at $3369.10 per ounce, jumping higher at the open and quickly rising to $3395.07 at 06:01 Beijing time, then turning lower and hitting a daily low of $3347.21 at 13:36, showing a overall V-shaped trend during the day. COMEX gold futures rose 0.11% to $3387.80 per ounce, with a overall trading range of $3361.40-3413.80 for the day. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index rose 1.39% to 207.78 points, with significant gains in early US stock market trading and continued high volatility throughout the day.
