Sichuan proposes 19 implementation paths to promote the high-quality development of the catering industry.

On June 20th, the 18th China Catering Industry Development Conference was held in Leshan, where the "Sichuan Province Implementation Plan for Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Catering Industry" was released. The plan aims to strive for the total catering revenue in the province to exceed 420 billion yuan by 2027, with 40 catering enterprises achieving annual operating income exceeding one billion yuan. The plan focuses on cultivating consumption hotspots, strengthening market entities, and promoting Sichuan-style catering to "go global", among other six action plans. It outlines 19 specific implementation paths such as building the "Delicious Sichuan" event brand, establishing a catering brand matrix, evaluating star-rated Sichuan cuisine restaurants, and improving the catering standards system. Regarding the cultivation of consumption hotspots, the plan provides specific directions to create new dining scenes. For example, it suggests establishing pilot zones for innovative development of Sichuan-style catering, supporting the use of business districts, pedestrian streets, and commercial complexes to cultivate experiential, immersive, and interactive dining venues. By 2027, the province aims to construct 20 "Delicious Sichuan" dining consumption new scenes, and provide support to the construction and operation entities of these new scenes according to regulations.
