On June 21, the Office of the National Committee for Disaster Reduction and Relief, along with the Ministry of Emergency Management, launched a national level four emergency response in response to the severe flood disaster in Hunan Province. According to the impact of the disaster and the needs of local relief work, in conjunction with the National Grain and Material Reserves Bureau, 81,500 items of central relief supplies including tents, foldable beds, summer quilts, and mattresses were allocated to Hunan Province to support the local efforts in emergency evacuation and resettlement of affected populations and ensuring their basic living needs.
