The University of Oulu in Finland recently announced in a press release that they have collaborated with a university in central Sweden to develop an augmented reality application called "Immersive." This application can assist users in independently completing tasks that require specialized knowledge, such as computer repairs, without the presence of a guide. According to the press release, this application uses 3D scanning technology to create a digital twin model of the target equipment in advance, and then creates detailed operational instructions on the model, combining arrows, text boxes, and other graphical markers. These instructions are gradually projected onto the real device in an augmented reality format, providing users with intuitive and visual guidance.
