Hunan Cili reported that pig farm manure leaked into the stream: the ecological environment department intervened in the investigation.

On June 20, the People's Government of Erfangping Town, Cili County, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province, issued a situation report: In the early morning of June 20, due to continuous heavy rainfall, the water level in the oxidation pond of the pig farm of Wang in Xinjian Village, our town, rose and the water pressure increased, leading to the damage of the drainage valve, causing pig manure to leak into the stream. After full emergency repairs, as of 7 a.m. on the 20th, the leakage point has been sealed and no more pig manure is flowing out. The original pigs in this pig farm were all slaughtered on May 25. The ecological environment department has been involved in the investigation and handling. Our town will learn from this lesson and take resolute measures to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
