The US Supreme Court rejects speeding up the Trump tariff case.
The Supreme Court of the United States has rejected a legal challenge to President Trump's broad imposition of tariffs from being fast-tracked. On Friday, the Supreme Court denied two educational toy manufacturers, Learning Resources Inc. and hand2mind Inc., request for an expedited schedule to overturn multiple import tariffs imposed by Trump. The rejection means that the US government will have the usual 30 days to submit a full response, rather than the shorter timeline requested by the two companies on Tuesday. The two companies had hoped for the Supreme Court to take an extraordinary step in bypassing the need for a ruling from the federal appeals court. The Trump administration argued that the Supreme Court should allow the regular appeals process to proceed.
