In March, the total employment in private sector in Hong Kong decreased by 0.5% year-on-year.

According to the financial and economic app, based on the figures released today by the Hong Kong government's census department, in March 2025 compared to the same period last year, the total number of employed people in the private sector in industries covered by the survey decreased by 0.5%, a decrease of 14,500 people; while the number of job vacancies was 55,170, a decrease of 27% or 20,010 vacancies compared to the same period last year.
