The Ministry of Natural Resources has elevated the response to geological disaster prevention in Hunan to Level III.

According to the latest forecast from the meteorological department and the comprehensive assessment of the Geological Hazard Technical Guidance Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, there is a high risk of geological disasters in some areas of Hunan Province in the next three days. In accordance with the "Work Plan for Geological Disaster Defense Response of the Ministry of Natural Resources", the Ministry of Natural Resources will raise the geological disaster defense response level to level III for Hunan at 3:00 PM on June 20. A working group led by comrades at the bureau level will be dispatched to guide the work in Hunan. The Ministry of Natural Resources requires the responsible department of natural resources in Hunan Province to strengthen risk awareness and awareness of potential dangers, enhance bottom-line thinking and extreme thinking, attach great importance to geological disaster prevention and response during the upcoming period of heavy rainfall, promptly organize patrols and inspections, effectively carry out monitoring and early warning, consultation and assessment, disaster and risk response, and on-duty and reporting work; the China Geological Survey Bureau and the Geological Hazard Technical Guidance Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources will strengthen expert dispatch, organization and coordination, consultation and assessment, and fully assist in guiding technical support.
