According to the news from the official WeChat account of China Railway, in order to better meet the needs of passengers traveling with pets, the railway department will expand the pilot scope of high-speed pet transport services starting from June 20, 2025. The services will cover 25 stations and 38 trains of 8 high-speed railways including Beijing-Shanghai, Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Harbin, and Shanghai-Kunming. Passengers can transport one family-raised and healthy cat or dog on the same train, with a weight not exceeding 15 kilograms and a shoulder height not exceeding 40 centimeters.
