Xiamen adjusts the policy on affordable housing and relaxes the application conditions.

Xiamen City has released a "Notice on Adjusting the Policy of Affordable Housing", which will officially take effect on July 15, 2025. 1. Shorten the requirement for the length of time for households with no housing to obtain local household registration. The requirement for family members to have "at least 1 person who has been a local household for at least 3 years" has been shortened to "at least 1 person who has been a local household for at least 1 year". 2. Relax the requirements for stable employment groups regarding education, professional titles, occupational qualifications, and basic pension insurance. The educational requirement for applicants has been relaxed from "bachelor's degree or above" to "associate's degree or above", the professional title requirement from "junior professional title or above" to "junior professional title or above", and the occupational qualification from "technician qualification" to "junior worker or above occupational qualification or skill level certificate". The period for contributing to basic pension insurance in Xiamen has been extended from "60 months" to "36 months". 3. Lower the age requirement for single residents applying for housing. The age requirement for local residents and single residents with stable employment in Xiamen has been uniformly lowered from 35 and 30 to 25 years old.
