According to a report from UBS, the number of millionaires globally increased by 680,000 in 2024, with the majority being Americans. UBS's latest Global Wealth Report shows that the United States added 379,000 millionaires last year, bringing the total close to 24 million. Despite the United States having the highest number of millionaires, the countries with the highest density of millionaires per capita are still Switzerland and Luxembourg. According to UBS's report, Turkey saw the largest percentage increase in millionaires at 8%, followed by the UAE at 5.8%. Due to the strength of the US dollar, the boom in cryptocurrency, and the performance of the US stock market, new wealth is heavily skewed towards the United States. The average wealth per adult in the United States has now reached $312,000, almost double that of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and nearly five times that of the Asia-Pacific region.
