Three departments held a video conference to strengthen the safety management of new energy vehicles.

The Department of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Quality Development Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the Fire Rescue Bureau of the National Fire and Rescue Bureau jointly held a video conference on strengthening the safety management of new energy vehicles on June 19th, to discuss and deploy the safety management of new energy vehicles for this year. The meeting emphasized that vehicle manufacturers and power battery manufacturers should consciously take up the main responsibility for product quality and safety, focus on risk prevention in aspects such as product design verification, production manufacturing, and after-sales service, strictly fulfill their obligation to inform, guide consumers to use vehicles correctly, refrain from exaggeration and false advertising, and firmly adhere to the safety bottom line. It is necessary to adhere to long-termism, avoid excessive competition, and never cut corners or sacrifice product performance and quality at the expense of short-term cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
