The Ministry of Commerce introduces the pilot achievements of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce, Yuandong He, stated that in 2023, the Shanghai Free Trade Zone will begin comprehensive pilot projects to align with international high-standard economic and trade rules. Over the past year, 80 pilot measures have been largely implemented, leading to innovative institutional reforms and the accumulation of advanced experiences and typical cases, providing a free trade solution for steadily expanding institutional openness. The Ministry of Commerce will work with local governments and relevant departments to make good use of the pilot experiences of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, tailor policies to local conditions, implement them effectively, focus on promoting pilot measures that are urgently needed by enterprises and the public, and fully unleash the benefits of institutional openness. At the same time, while safeguarding the bottom line of risks, support the Shanghai Free Trade Zone in fully playing the role of a comprehensive experimental platform for reform and opening up, promote deep-seated reforms and high-quality development through high-level opening up.
