Chen Bairi: Boost Hong Kong's local consumption market to inject development momentum into the economy.
According to the Economic and Commerce Development Bureau of Hong Kong, on June 19th, Dr. Edward Yau, the Director of the Bureau, stated at a Legislative Council meeting that the "Consumer Stimulus Special Action Plan" covers 30 key tasks in eight different aspects, with the main emphasis being on stimulating local consumption in Hong Kong. On one hand, they aim to explore new areas for consumption growth, improve the quality and expand the supply of consumer products and services, and encourage potential demand to actual consumption. On the other hand, they will continue to strengthen social security and support for citizens in areas such as childbirth, education, employment, healthcare, and retirement, eliminate barriers that affect consumption decisions, and allow citizens to consume with peace of mind and joy.
