Jiangsu Province has initiated Level IV flood prevention emergency response.

The Jiangsu Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters announced that starting at 11:00 on June 19, Jiangsu Province has initiated a level IV emergency response to flood control. The Jiangsu Provincial Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow alert for heavy rain at 9:19 on June 19: It is expected that from the night of the 19th to the 20th, areas including Nanjing, the northern part of Nantong, Huaian, Yancheng, Yangzhou, the northern part of Zhenjiang, Taizhou, and Suqian will experience heavy rainfall of over 50 millimeters in 24 hours, with some areas in Nanjing, Huaian, Yancheng, Yangzhou, and Taizhou possibly seeing precipitation of over 100 millimeters. There may be thunderstorms, short-term heavy rain, and thunderstorm winds in some areas.
