Netanyahu does not rule out targeting Iran's Supreme Leader.
When asked by NBC whether Israel intends to target Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu did not rule out the possibility. Netanyahu responded, "Look, we are doing what needs to be done." He insisted that potential actions to eliminate the Supreme Leader would "end the conflict" rather than escalate it. "Permanent war' is what Iran wants, they are pushing us towards the brink of nuclear war. In fact, Israel's current actions are aimed at preventing all of this and putting an end to this aggressive behavior," he said.
